I use these only when I travel. My shoes are usually shined nicely but they often get scuffed while sitting on the plane, or after a few days of wear. It’s hard to find a good shoeshine place in most towns nowadays, so I carry these with me and use them when I need a quick touchup. These sponges seem to have a little more “juice” in them and look as if they might last longer than some of the other brands I’ve used. But the liquid (mostly silicone) that these sponges are saturated with, seems to be a lower viscosity material and is harder to keep from dripping than some of the competition. The shine is REALLY shiny and I prefer more of a matte type of shine, but I can wipe the shoes down with a rag to matte them a bit.The container looks good, no worries about having silicone liquid spilling on my clothes when in the suitcase.Overall, they’re OK. I’m not impressed but they’re definitely not the worst I’ve used.I wouldn’t suggest using these as your primary shoeshine method. For one thing, there’s no color which makes it ideal for use across many different colored pairs of shoes but, on the other hand, they won’t fill in scuffs where the color was removed and, more importantly, they don’t help keep the leather in good condition as most waxes and cremes will do.Review of: Instant Shoe Shine Sponge - 3pk Shoe Shine Sponges for Leather Shoes and Boots – Red Moose
